Independent media and growth agency Magic has expanded its team with six new hires following 14% year-on-year business growth.
The appointments come after a year of client growth for the agency, including new business from El Jannah, Zamels, iPantry and Vitality Brands.
The new hires include the return of former Head of Performance, Charles Kurth; four new account service appointments; and a new Social Media Co-ordinator.
Charles Kurth returns
Kurth returns to Magic as Head of Performance after an in-house role at the retailer Quad Lock, where he served as Performance Marketer.
In his new role, Kurth will lead Magic’s performance media product, overseeing performance channels, optimisation frameworks and the continued development of the agency’s measurement-led approach to driving commercial outcomes for clients.
Kurth said the move marks a return to the agency at a key time.
“This is a homecoming for me. I’m thrilled to return to Magic at such an exciting time for the business, where I can continue to harness data and best-in-class performance to drive new business and client opportunities.”
New account service hires
Chris Lane joins Magic as Account Director, coming from Vouch Global, where he was Performance Head.
Lane brings experience in digital performance marketing, analytics and strategy across ecommerce, retail, non-profit and hospitality clients, including Macmillan Cancer Support and UNICEF.
Shamila Naleer joins as Account Manager after working at KingKong as a Paid Search Specialist. Before that, Naleer was a Campaign Manager at W360 Group.
Thomas Proe-Carter and Alishma Ismaili join as Account Executives, specialising in performance.
Proe-Carter will focus on paid social and search, bringing experience across Meta and TikTok campaigns for e-commerce brands. Ismaili steps into a Performance Executive role after serving in marketing and social media management roles at 360 Dental Marketing, Your Social, and MotorOne CX.
Social team expands
Stephanie Walsh joins Magic in the new role of Social Media Co-ordinator.
Walsh is currently completing a Design and Business, Marketing degree at Swinburne University. She joins from Victorian brewery JKB Brewing, where she was Content & Marketing Manager.
