National creative studio, Kojo, has welcomed Bim Ricketson (pictured) to the newly created role of group creative director, to oversee the creative output of the Kojo Creative and Kojo Sport businesses. Ricketson was most recently executive creative director ANZ at event and experience agency, George P Johnson. Prior to that, he was creative director at Imagination and a senior creative at CI Events.

Stephen Lord, Kojo CEO, said “Bim is an impressive transformational leader of creative talent and has delivered work across a wide variety of projects. On the back of strong growth across the business, we’re thrilled to welcome him to the team, where he’ll continue to build and evolve our creative offering”.

On his appointment, Ricketson said “with 20 years working on campaign and immersive experiences, opening ceremonies for major sporting events and with a family background in the film and the arts, I’m excited by Kojo’s storytelling-first approach, the breadth of capability and what Kojo offers clients and audiences”.

Emma Gill also joins the studio in the role of creative director, bringing more than twelve years global brand experience, having worked as creative director at event and experience agencies such as George P Johnson and London-based agency, TRO.

Ricketson and Gill join the Sydney office as the agency continues to expand and will work closely with recently promoted head of Kojo Creative, Jess Hill and head of Kojo Sport, Chantella Perera in Melbourne.

On the appointment of Jess Hill, Stephen Lord said “We’re excited by the combination of strategic thinking, creative industry experience, team leadership and deep understanding of delivery that Jess brings to the role”

“We have created a truly unique agency service offering and see Jess as a fantastic leader with an impressive mix of skills and strategic thinking.”

Hill said of her appointment to the new role, “Kojo Creative really is an agency for all the senses and I’m excited to lead the team as we continue to evolve and deliver on our unique creative capabilities to service our clients”.
