Two former senior creatives from ARN Media have launched their independent creative agency full-time following recent redundancies in the media sector.
Melbourne-based Gabi Revell and Jarryd Haefele, previously Lead Designers at ARN, have officially expanded their side business, Foundry, into a full-time operation.
The pair said the move followed broader restructuring and ongoing changes across the Australian media industry.
“We’d been growing Foundry alongside our roles for some time, so when everything shifted, it felt like the right moment to go all in,” said Revell.
“There’s a lot happening across the industry right now, but for us, it clarified things. If we were ever going to back ourselves, this was the moment.”
Foundry launches full-time
Founded in Melbourne, Foundry specialises in brand identity, campaign creative and design systems for established and emerging businesses.
Haefele said the agency’s approach had been shaped by experience working in fast-paced media environments.
“We’ve come from fast-paced, high-pressure environments where the work has to be performed. That’s shaped how we approach everything at Foundry,” said Haefele.
“It’s not just about making brands look good. It has to work. It has to land.”
Revell said the pair had seen changing attitudes toward work across the creative sector.
“There’s a lot of noise at the moment, but underneath that there’s a reset happening,” she said.
“More creatives are rethinking how and where they work, and for us, this was the moment to build something of our own.”
Foundry said it is now operating full-time and focusing on strategic creative work across brand identity, campaigns and content.
