First look: Below Deck Down Under hints at a steamy debut season

• First look: Below Deck Down Under

Below Deck coming finally comes Down Under, after almost a decade of cruising around the idyllic islands of the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

The Emmy-nominated franchise will take wealthy guests sailing around northeastern Australia’s tropical Whitsunday Islands.

Captain Jason Chambers leads M/Y Thalassa crew as they sail across the stunning backdrop and he will be won’t hold back if staff don’t live up to the luxury yacht’s high standards.

A familiar face jumping on board is fan favourite Aesha Scott, who was previously a stew on seasons 4 and 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean to lead the interior.

“I’m the chief stew now, bitches!” she said in the trailer for the new season.

But not everything is going to be easy for her as she goes head-to-head chef Ryan McKeown early on in the season.

The new trailer hints there will be tears, tantrums, and drama on board the lavish vessel with the Thalassa crew.

Rounding out the rest of the crew is bosun Jamie Sayed, stews Tumi Mhlongo and Magda Ziomek, and deckhands Culver Bradbury, Brittini Burton, and Ben Crawley.

In addition to their diverse backgrounds and wealth of experience in the yachting industry, the crew is also “annoyingly good-looking” joked one yachtie in the trailer – its no surprise the trailer shows some members of the cast enjoying a steamy hot tub session together.

The staff will take guests on a range of underwater excursions such as scuba diving and snorkeling.

There will also be close encounters with marine life in the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the world.

The Australian Below Deck spin-off hasn’t even premiered yet, but it seems the show’s producers are already scouting for a second season, the Sydney Morning Herald.

Below Deck Down Under debuts on Peacock, March 17, with the first three episodes available on premiere day.

It will also be available to stream in Australia on hayu from March 18
