M+C Saatchi Group ANZ has promoted Emma Robbins to Group Chief Creative Officer, following the resignation of Steve Coll after two years with the agency.
Robbins, who has spent the past three months as CCO Melbourne, will now oversee the group’s creative output across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to CEO Dani Bassil, she’ll lead the agency’s creative vision and push forward its “Cultural Power” proposition.
“The industry is shapeshifting in every which way, which is what makes this such an exciting time to step into the role,” Robbins said.
“There are challenges and opportunities everywhere, and we’re all totally up for it. We’ve got the leadership, talent, and energy to meet them head-on and keep creating work for our clients that’s powerful in culture and full of meaning and creativity.”

From campaigns to culture
Over her seven years with M+C Saatchi, Robbins has led several acclaimed campaigns, including Commonwealth Bank’s Doubt Never Did, the Minderoo Foundation’s Plastic Forecast, Lifeblood, We Are The Warning, and ART Super.
Bassil said Robbins’ promotion reflects both her creative strength and her influence across the business. “Emma is one of a kind. I’ve been blown away by just how incredible and talented she is. She is adored by the creative community and clients alike.
“I just cannot think of anyone better to lead this agency into the future, and I’m delighted she agreed to step into the role,” Bassil said.
Steve Coll exits after two years
Robbins’ promotion follows the departure of outgoing Group Chief Creative Officer Steve Coll, who joined M+C Saatchi after four years at Meta.
Coll said he was proud to have helped the agency transition into a “new era” and build a restructured, integrated creative team.
“I arrived at M+C after four years at Meta, with a brief to help the agency transition into a new era,” he said. “I am proud to have brought in a wonderful mix of senior creatives and brilliant young talent into a newly restructured and integrated team.
“Now, with the agency increasingly set up to produce more integrated and culturally powerful work, it felt like a good time to move onto a fresh challenge,” he said.
Prior to M+C Saatchi, Robbins spent four years at The Shannon Company and over a decade at Clemenger BBDO.
She has judged internationally at One Show, Clio, New York Festivals and Cannes, mentors emerging creatives through the Creative LIAison and M+C Open House programs.
