DoubleVerify has formally entered the Victorian market, appointing former Starcom digital head Robert Millett as Business Director Melbourne, as the ad verification firm accelerates its expansion across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The role marks DoubleVerify’s first hire in Victoria and gives the company a physical presence in Melbourne as it looks to deepen relationships with agencies and advertisers and drive growth in the local market.
Millett will oversee existing client partnerships while leading business development in Victoria.
“I’m incredibly excited to be DV’s first hire in Victoria and to lead our expansion in this vibrant market. My focus will be on ensuring our local partners can leverage DV’s cutting-edge verification and performance solutions,” Millett said.
“As the digital landscape across multiple platforms evolves rapidly, ensuring media transparency, quality and effectiveness is more critical than ever. I can’t wait to work with local partners and brands to leverage DV’s cutting-edge verification and performance solutions to drive superior results from their digital investments.”
Australian growth underpins APAC expansion
Millett joins DoubleVerify after nearly a decade at Starcom in Melbourne, where he was most recently Head of Digital.
His appointment comes as DoubleVerify continues to scale its presence across Asia-Pacific, having launched operations in Malaysia last year and increased its regional headcount by 63% over the past three years.
The company has also expanded its Australian team with four new hires: Joseph Wilson and Josephine Driscoll as Integrated Solutions Directors, and Thanik Asawasirisilp and Vikrant Bhalerao as Senior Account Managers. The additional roles are designed to support growing demand for DV’s AI-powered optimisation, measurement and automation tools across agencies and brands.
“As APAC’s digital ecosystem grows at an unprecedented pace, advertisers are looking for trusted partners who combine global technology leadership with local expertise,” said Mark Zagorski, CEO of DoubleVerify.
“Our expansion across the region ensures brands have the technology, insights and support needed to drive clarity, confidence and stronger performance from their media investments.”
Clients and product investments support local momentum
DoubleVerify said its growth in Australia has been driven by strong partnerships with major advertisers and agencies. Colgate-Palmolive Australia has used DV’s pre-bid brand suitability controls to improve media quality across its video advertising, while Haleon in Australia increased its brand suitability rate by 6% after working with the company.
The company has also continued to invest in product and platform capabilities, including the rollout of DV Authentic AdVantage™ and its acquisition of marketing attribution platform Rockerbox.
“Australia’s vast geography creates distinct advertising markets across states, each with unique regulatory requirements and media consumption patterns,” said Conrad Tallariti, Managing Director, APAC at DoubleVerify.
“DV’s state-level geographic capabilities help brands address regional market complexity -particularly in highly regulated categories – while optimising media performance across fragmented markets. With Robert’s proven expertise in digital strategy, we’re well-positioned to deliver even greater value to Australian advertisers navigating this complexity.”
DoubleVerify said its expanding Australian footprint will play a key role in supporting its broader APAC strategy as demand for media quality, transparency and performance continues to grow.
