This week the Australian Box Office made a total of $6.77 million, which is well up from a tough week last week.

Directed by The Office’s John Krasinski and debuting to the top spot this week is A Quiet Place Part II, the sequel to the 2018 horror film A Quiet Place. Both films follow a family that is forced to navigate and survive in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind monsters with an acute sense of hearing.

Also entering the top five this week is the latest from Disney, Cruella. Based on the character Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians, the film is in London during the 1970s. Cruella revolves around Estella, an aspiring fashion designer, as she slowly becomes a cruel fashion designer that audiences know and recognise as Cruella de Vil.

Dropping out of the top five this week is Spiral: From the Book of Saw, and June Again.

#1, A Quiet Place Part II, $3.14 million

John Krasinski has scared the pants off audiences again, with the horror sequel debuting to make an average of $5,802 across 542 screens.

#2, Cruella, $1.47 million

The third live-action adaptation in the 101 Dalmatians franchise debuted to an average of $3,261 across 452 screens.

#3, Wrath of Man, $401,727

In its fifth week of release, the film directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham earned an average of $1,732 across 232 screens. It’s made a total of $6.57 million so far.

#4, Those Who Wish Me Dead, $324,692

In its third week of release, Those Who Wish Me Dead drops one place to fourth. It made an average of $1,239 across 262 screens, bringing it to a total of $2.81 million.

#5, Peter Rabbit 2, $166,070

Still holding on to a spot in the top five after a whopping 10 weeks, Peter Rabbit 2 averaged $772 on 215 screens this week. This brings its total to a hopping $20.99 million.
