 Amorica – Surry Hills

WOW, this really is an incredible fit-out that delivers on the name Grande Brasserie, an industry favourite location on the corner where Toko was is now a little bit of Paris on Crown Street. Love the custom-built Josper grill with its charcoal and wood-fired cooking for the excellent steak. Plus, the service was first class, and the menu was all your favourite bistro classics. I hear the Seafood Tower is very special … next time!
The dish you must try: the full blood 9+ wagyu steak frites and your choice of Bone Marrow butter, mushroom, or bearnaise sauce.

Clam Bar – Sydney CBD

A New York-style steak house once again delivering the classics in a cool space with some great fresh seafood options. Already super popular with the stock market Bridge Street crowd it’s sure to become a lunchtime institution.
The dish you must try: the old-fashioned prawn cocktail with excellent fresh king prawns that let the produce shine.

Fun team lunch

Lotus – Barangaroo

Always a great selection of pan Asian delights in a wonderful waterfront location with a friendly relaxed vibe and good service. What’s not to like? I always order the outstanding fresh dumplings and the BBQ duck pancakes with the special five-spice hoisin sauce.
The dish you must try: the wok-fried king prawns with special XO sauce.

Botswana Butchery – MLC Centre

I am a big fan of their excellent meat selection however lately I’ve been impressed with the rooftop special half a lobster with unlimited fries. Had the lobster mornay and this is a great special offer that is going to entice me back again and again.

Brekkie Favourites

Oxford House – Paddington

A new lifestyle hotel in the heart of Oxford Street with a great brunch and lunch menu. Some healthy bowl options and a few classic breakfast dishes. However, I could not go past the lobster roll and the classic club sandwich looked delicious.

101 Kissa – Chippendale

A local gem with fresh Japanese and Asian fusion dishes that not only taste great but also will look yummy on your Insta feed. The signature fresh toast is out of this world and the total menu selection is incredibly fresh and most importantly delicious.

101 Kissa

Cheap & cheerful lunch with the crew & I’m paying for myself

Fortress Tavern – Chippendale

I was transported back in time to a fantasy tavern however the Esports games bought me back to reality. It does great tavern fare with burgers, dogs, loaded fries, colossal ribs at 450 grams, tacos, and pizza. Good fun place with all the traditional tavern food delivered fast and friendly.

Fortress Tavern

The Palace Chinese – CBD

One of the best selections of yum cha in Sydney with an excellent range of dumplings and other yum cha delights. The trolleys just keep delivering a mouth-watering array of Chinese yum cha favourites.

Palace Chinese

Pick of the Day: Armorica steak frites without a doubt one of the best in Sydney.
