Avid Collective names Niki Jones as new head of enablement & operations

Jones was formerly an executive at Scout Publishing and Junkee Media.

Avid Collective has appointed former Scout Publishing and Junkee Media executive Niki Jones, as its new head of enablement and operations.

In the newly created role, Jones will be responsible for overseeing operational activities across various arms of the business with a focus on partner engagement. She will be part of Avid Collective’s leadership team and report to commercial director, Ezechiel Ritchie.

Prior to Scout Publishing and Junkee Media, Jones spent nearly two decades working at several national media organisations, including SCA where she was group sales manager, the Seven Network, and ARN where she was an account director.

Avid Collective managing director, Luke Spano, said Jones was a welcome addition to the team.

“Niki brings more than two decades of expert insights, along with a deep understanding of industry dynamics to Avid. She is passionate about innovation and using technology to drive growth – I am confident her enthusiasm, combined with her expertise, will make her an invaluable member of the Avid business.

“Niki’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Avid. The business has grown exponentially since the recent launch of the Avid Platform 2.0, and we’re looking forward to another growth-fueled year in 2024.”

Commenting on her appointment, Jones said: “My past experience reflects a dedication to leveraging technology to streamline operations and drive success, and Avid provides the perfect environment to continue these activities. With a real passion for innovation, I constantly seek new technologies and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve and I can’t think of a better place to do that, than at Avid.

“I look forward to contributing to the company’s commitment to excellence and driving innovation in the dynamic media landscape.”

Jone’s appointment comes off the back of the expansion of Avid Collective’s leadership team including Rob Ewing being appointed to head of agency partnerships, the expansion of Leah Stalker’s remit as head of direct advertising partnerships and last year’s appointment of new commercial director Ezechiel Ritchie.
