WPP Media has been appointed by Suncorp to manage its media account, introducing a bespoke agency model called Open Era to service the insurer’s broad brand portfolio.
The new arrangement takes effect from 1 March and brings to a close Suncorp’s partnership with OMD. Brands covered under the model include AAMI, Apia, Bingle, CIL Insurance, GIO, Essentials by AAI, Shannons, Suncorp Insurance, and Terri Scheer.
Maria Grivas will lead the account as executive lead of Open Era, bringing together a team of strategists, technologists and client leaders from across WPP Media. The model will also draw on the group’s WPP Open AI platform, integrating AI and automation into strategic planning and execution.
