Braydon Priest

Former MediaWorks executive Braydon Priest has joined brand activation agency Curious Nation as senior producer, supporting the agency’s expanding footprint across New Zealand.

Brand activation agency Curious Nation has named Braydon Priest as senior producer, bolstering its project delivery capabilities amid growing demand from clients across New Zealand.

Priest, who spent two decades at MediaWorks’ The Breeze radio station in various operational roles, will now oversee projects for brands including Woolworths, Trade Me, Milford Asset Management, Kraft Heinz, Watercare, and the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa.

Most recently serving as Auckland operations manager and executive producer of The Breeze’s breakfast show, Priest was recognised as Best Music Producer at the 2023 New Zealand Radio Awards. He began his tenure at MediaWorks as national promotions manager in 2012.

Corinna Homer, Curious Nation’s New Zealand business director, said the agency’s momentum in the market has been driven by demand for distinct, strategically-led work: “We’re not interested in cookie-cutter campaigns, everything we do is strategically led, creatively surprising and fuelled by curious thinking.

“Braydon brings deep expertise from his time at MediaWorks, with hybrid production, creative and project management smarts,” Homer added.

Priest said the agency’s approach to brand work resonated with him: “They’re not just talking about innovation, they’re delivering it… It’s a brilliant opportunity to bring my experience to the table.”

The appointment follows Curious Nation’s April rebrand from Because ANZ, reflecting the agency’s strategic shift to align with evolving client needs and its emphasis on curiosity-driven work across digital, retail and real-world environments.
