Vogue Australia will debut its globally recognised Vogue Vintage Market at Australian Fashion Week this week, with eBay Australia signing on as presenting partner.
The one-day event, set for Friday, 15 May, marks the first time the concept has launched in Australia following editions in the US and UK. The market will be co-hosted by Gemma Ward alongside the Vogue Australia team.
Positioned as a consumer-facing addition to Australian Fashion Week, Vogue Vintage Market will feature pre-loved, archival, vintage and designer fashion pieces curated by Vogue Australia editors. Items will include selections sourced from eBay, Australian and international designers, Vogue editors and industry insiders.
The launch reflects growing momentum around circular fashion and resale, as publishers, platforms and retailers increasingly look to align sustainability messaging with commerce-led experiences.
Vogue Australia expands global concept locally
Vogue Australia Editorial Director and Publisher Edwina McCann said the Australian edition builds on the event’s international success.
“After successful events in the US and UK, Australia is the next chapter for Vogue Vintage Market. With eBay Australia as our presenting partner, we are delighted to offer our audience a uniquely Vogue shopping experience.
“Set within Australian Fashion Week, it’s a moment to celebrate creativity, conscious consumption and the enduring value of great design.”
The event also gives Vogue Australia another opportunity to extend its editorial brand into experiential retail and live consumer engagement during one of the local fashion industry’s biggest calendar moments.
eBay pushes deeper into circular fashion
Zannie Abbott said the partnership aligns with rising consumer interest in second-hand fashion and resale culture.
Partnering with Vogue Australia to bring the Vogue Vintage Market to Australian Fashion Week marks a significant moment for circular fashion locally.
“It’s exciting to see the growing appetite for pre-loved style, and the role eBay can play in making it more accessible at scale. Through eBay Live – our real-time shopping platform – we’re extending this moment beyond the runway, connecting audiences nationwide with rare, Vogue-curated pieces in real time.”
Vogue Vintage Market, presented by eBay Australia, will run for one day only on Friday, 15 May, during Australian Fashion Week.
