• He will be responsible for exploring growth opportunities and collaborations across the group

VMG has announced the appointment of Sal Daoud to the newly created role of head of growth and partnerships.

In the new role, he will be responsible for exploring growth opportunities for VMG brands as well as collaborations across the group, including Yakkazoo, Revolution360, Frontier Media, CVO, VIM, Sillyfish, and Aspire Talent Group.

Daoud was previously national head of sales for two of VMG’s brands, digital marketing agency Sillyfish and bespoke out-of-home specialist Captive Vision Outdoor.

Prior to joining the independent Australia-owned communications group, he spent five years at oOh! Media as senior business manager where he was awarded the company’s 2019 National Sales winner title.

Michael Fishwick, VMG chief executive officer, said: “Sal’s exceptional sales experience is an asset to the group with his network and in-depth understanding of the market and clients we work with, I am thrilled to have him work closely with me for the next phase of growth for VMG.”

“We have a fantastic group offering that is relatively new in market so it’s important we have someone dedicated to championing our end-to-end solutions in market,” he added.

Daoud said of his appointment: “Since joining VMG, the company has grown quickly, acquiring a number of additional brands which puts us in a unique position to offer solutions for clients from strategy and creative right through to all aspects of implementation. Taking up this new role from a group perspective enables us to tap into an extensive partner network to deliver better results and more value for clients.

“VMG has the full suite of services available in-house as well as some of the largest government contracts for out-of-home site listings in metro areas. We are well-positioned to deliver campaigns that utilise our entire end-to-end services and existing commercial network at high traffic exposure sites. We are pioneering media execution at every level,” he added.

VMG has expanded significantly within the last 12 months and diversified its offering from OOH into new verticals including creative services, design, talent management, performance digital, media buying and strategy.

Last week, Yakkazoo and Frontier Media merged to form a fully integrated, full-service advertising agency to explore more shared opportunities across their client bases within the wider VMG umbrella.
