Vale: Former CEO of ADMA, Rob Edwards

He was widely regarded for his leadership, commitment to the industry, and personal warmth and generosity.

Rob Edwards, former CEO of ADMA, has passed away.

Edwards joined ADMA in 1993 and played a central role in transforming the organisation from a niche industry body into one of Australia’s leading marketing associations.

His influence extended beyond ADMA, helping shape the country’s broader data and marketing landscape.

“Throughout his tenure, Rob championed critical industry advancements. He played a key role in the development of Privacy Legislation in 2003, helping establish important benchmarks for responsible data use.

“In later years, he successfully advocated for changes to the Government’s Do Not Call Bill, ensuring business numbers were not included on the register,” ADMA said in a LinkedIn post.

He was widely regarded for his leadership, commitment to the industry, and personal warmth and generosity.

Edwards leaves behind a legacy of impact across Australia’s marketing and data sectors, with contributions that continue to shape the industry today.

ADMA said its thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.
