The 62nd TV WEEK Logie Awards returns to the Gold Coast after a two-year hiatus.

After being postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the TV WEEK Logie Awards is back at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre within The Star precinct, just metres from the beaches of Broadbeach.

The star-studded award show is set to showcase all the action, glamour and excitement synonymous with Australian television’s night of nights to be telecast on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the return of the Logies was a major milestone in the recovery of Australia’s burgeoning screen sector.

“Queensland is the home of the screen industry in Australia,” Palaszczuk said.

“It’s great to have the Logies back on the Gold Coast in 2022 – our third time hosting television’s night of nights. I can’t imagine the Logies being anywhere else,” she added.

Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate said: “Like that great Simon and Garfunkel classic, the Logies are homeward bound and back where they belong. I can’t wait to catch up with the stars of Australian television and to remind them why we are the most exciting destination in the country – and home to the 2022 Logies.’”

COO The Star Gold Coast Jessica Mellor said: “The Star welcomes the Logies back in 2022 as a celebration not only of the best of Australian television, but also of the Gold Coast and The Star precinct and all that it has to offer – it truly is our home of entertainment.”

The Queensland Government, via Tourism and Events Queensland, also said it is proud to support the TV WEEK Logie Awards which features on the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar.

The TV WEEK Logies Awards is also proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast. The TV WEEK Logie Awards will be broadcast on Channel 9 and 9Now on Sunday 19 June.
