465,000 began their evening with Season Finale Week of Seven’s Home and Away. During the episode, a life was on the line and Bree struggled with her guilt while Kirby helped Justin process his pain.

527,000 stayed on for The 1% Club before 169,000 tuned in for Big Brother Australia. During the episode, housemates were divided into chosen pairs for the nominations challenge. They were strapped front to back, with one of them blindfolded. 

102,000 also watched US drama S.W.A.T.

Nine’s A Current Affair (634,000) spoke to Atena Kashani,19, an Iranian asylum seeker who claimed she is unable to achieve her dream of becoming a lawyer after Australian authorities stopped her studying due to her family’s visa status.

Then, 381,000 watched Planet Earth III. During the episode, the series looked at the largest habitat of all, the open ocean, which is the ultimate realm of new discovery, housing countless secrets that are continuing to be unlocked.

Australian Crime Stories: The Investigators followed for 283,000 as the ACS uncovers one of the most bizarre murder investigations in Australia’s history. The deaths of Thomas Keir’s two wives.

Getting Away with Murder was up next for 172,000.

On 10, The Project (169,000 6:30pm / 294,000 7pm) spoke to Take That’s Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen via satellite and spoke to Aussie model and former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Ellie Gonsalves who has divided the internet after she posted a list of 118 reasons why she has remained child-free.

Dessert Masters – Semi Final then followed as a challenge inspired by nature saw Kay-Lene Tan and chocolate queen Kirsten Tibballs eliminated from the competition. In the most dramatic scene of the competition, Tibball’s perfectly curated chocolate birdcage shattered within the very last 30 seconds of the cook, leaving her to only serve an entremet which ultimately did not hit the brief, sending her home. 471,000 tuned in.

The first episode of Paramount+’s new breakout hit, NCIS Sydneyfollowed for 310,000. Following the death of a US submariner during an AUKUS ceremony in Sydney, saw a joint investigation between NCIS Agents Afloat and the Australian Federal Police, resulting in the birth of NCIS: Sydney.

479,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore how the Albanese government is finishing the year in a world of political pain. Sarah Ferguson interviewed Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek and the program looked at how at least 18 homes have been lost in the bushfires in Perth.

455,000 then watched Australian Story, where with little more than a briefcase full of old photos for clues, comedian Annie Louey unravelled decades-old secrets in a bid to understand who her father really was.

Evacuation then followed for 278,000 as British troops dealt with the aftermath of a deadly explosion and stop processing civilians as they began to extract their own forces.

327,000 also saw Media Watch.

Over on SBS, 104,000 sat down for 1968: A Year of War, Turmoil and Beyond where in 1968, the surprise attack by the North Vietnamese known as the Tet Offensive started a large-scale opposition against the Johnson Administration in the USA. 

66,000 also watched Secrets of The Tower of London.

892,000 viewed Seven’s Home and Away, up 22%, followed by Home and Away — Late where 819,000 tuned in, up 28%.

836,000 saw ABC’s Australian Story, up 18%.

744,000 tuned into 10’s Dessert Masters, up 26%.

618,000 watched the series final of Nine’s My Mum Your Dad, up 40%.
