TV Ratings July 26, 2022: Right place, right time for 10’s Hunted

Total TV Ratings, July 19

Hunted has tracked down another win for 10, topping non news and once again cracking the million mark in total TV. 1,125,000 watched Jess and Erina-Lea‘s life on the run reach its end after a heart stopping capture, up 36%. 

Seven’s Home and Away continues to perform well in total TV, lifting 25% to bring in an audience of 912,000. Also on Seven ABBA vs Queen saw 709,000 bust out the glitter, lifting 9%. 

The ABC Of took Garry McDonald back through his life for 808,000, lifting 23%. The launch episode of Miriam Margolyes: Australia Unmasked took 667,000 to Tasmania, up 26%. 

704,000 watched as Beauty and the Geek locked in its final pairs, lifting 34%.

On SBS, Who Do You Think You Are lifted 30% to draw a crowd of 490,000.

Nine has won the night with a 17.8% primary share and a 25.9% network share. As Neighbours wraps up, 10  Peach has won the night for the multichannels with a 4.1% share.

Nine’s A Current Affair covered Australia’s jobs boom and the lengths some bosses will go to to get workers, and took 658,000 to Tamworth where locals are being terrorised by the thousands of flying foxes that have descended on the town. Beauty and the Geek saw the Geeks turn into knights in shining armour, with 421,000 cheering on as Michael finally got the kiss he’s been dreaming of. Botched wrapped the night up with 248,000 viewers going under the knife.

Home and Away kicked the night off for Seven, drawing a crowd of 423,000. After pulling on their dancing shoes for ABBA vs Queen last week, 316,000 tuned in as things were turned up a notch for Kylie vs Bee Gees.

On 10, The Project (263,000 6:30pm / 412,000 7pm) dug into the declining population with news that Australians are having fewer babies and having them later in life, as well as Manly Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler’s apology in the aftermath of the pride jersey scandal. Things got dramatic on Hunted, with 594,000 watching as fugitives Sonny-Joe and Grace were captured in a case of wrong place, wrong time. With 11 days of the hunt remaining, the game has almost reached its halfway point. Finally, The Cheap Seats poked fun at the week and continued the Hunted hype for 395,000, interviewing the show’s Forensic Psychologist Dr Karla Lopez

It was a big night on ABC’s 7.30, with 521,000 watching as Sarah Ferguson was joined at the desk by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the day that the new federal parliament met in Canberra for the first time. It was back to back with Sarah Ferguson, as The ABC Of took the 7.30 host back through the archives for 441,000, before Miriam Margolyes: Australia Unmasked took on Victoria for 413,000. 

The highest rated show on SBS was Who Do You Think You Are, which took 257,000 back through the family history of ​​chef Matt Moran.
