Nine

The NRL had 272,000 as the Broncos defeated the Warriors 24-22. The game had 160,000 tuning in from Sydney and 93,000 from Brisbane.

A first on The Block last night. After the Blockheads heard the judges comments and votes delivered by Scott Cam, the judges turned up in person. The team that bore the brunt of the harshest comments were the Love Island twins Josh and Luke who finished last in bathroom week. All teams took the opportunity to ask judges Neale, Shaynna and Darren questions and the judges explained why they can at times sound so critical. “It’s all because we want you to do so well,” said Neale Whitaker.

Faves Mitch and Mark won the episode after some tough love from the judges the week prior.

After a room reveal episode with 758,000 a week ago, last night was on 779,000. This week on The Block it’s time for master bedroom and walk-in wardrobe.

60 Minutes then followed with 521,000 as the program followed up on the affects of its report on the National Socialist Network last week. Nick McKenzie revealed Counter-terrorism police are now conducting fresh investigations, neo-Nazis have been sacked from large companies, and some have even issued public statements recanting their white supremacist views. He also reported that neo-Nazi leaders overseas are helping to engineer the local fightback.

Nine was the #1 primary channel last night in 25-54 and 16-39.

Seven

Seven has continued to dominate Sunday’s with another comfortable win in both primary (25.2%) and network (32.1%) shares.

The AFL’s Sunday afternoon coverage had an average of 461,000 viewers.

It was girl group night on The Voice with six girls called G-Nation getting all four coaches to turn early on in the song. So thrilled was Rita Ora that she jumped onstage suggesting she might be able to become the seventh member. “Your vocals are impeccable. I am so excited I can hardly speak,” said Ora. After the other coaches finished their pitches, Ora added: “I promise you I will take you all the way.” G-Nation then chose to join Team Rita.

The Voice Sunday was #2 show of Week 34 with 1.226m and the show started the new ratings week on 1.177m.

Homicide: With Ron Iddles then followed with 602,000 tuning in for its episode about the murder of Wayne Amey.

The Project featured the return of Hamish Macdonald who will now be part of the Friday and Sunday episodes in addition to special reports he will be filing.

“Hamish Macdonald, that makes so much sense. In our meeting today, I was like, damn, PVO is looking hot,” said Tommy Little on his co-hosts return, taking the seat of Peter van Onselen.

The episode had 334,000 for the first half-hour of Macdonald’s return before having an average of 471,000 from 7:00pm.

Survivor then followed with 691,000 as it seemed that everyone in the camp had a different blind side planned. By the time of the vote, there were three potential victims in plays, in the end, it was Gerald with a shocked look on his face as he realised that political operative George had betrayed their alliance.

The episode performed well in the key demographics, finishing #1 for 16-39 and 18-49.

ABC

Sadly Joanna Lumley’s Britain came to an end. Episode three started in North Wales at the former slate mines before heading south through Cornwall and Devon. The episode had an audience of 534,000.

The second episode of The Newsreader had 508,000 viewers and featured the local interest in possible sightings of Haley’s Comet as it orbited closer to Australia back in 1986.

SBS

The top non-news program on SBS was a repeat of Queen Victoria’s Children with 137,000.
