TEG – Ticketek Entertainment Group has unveiled a major evolution of its touring business, launching TEG Live.
The platform model is designed to bring together leading promoters and entrepreneurial talent under a shared delivery and technology framework.
The platform will be spearheaded by Tim McGregor, Global Head of Touring at TEG, who will oversee strategy and portfolio performance as TEG Live expands across genres and international markets.
A platform model built on promoter autonomy
TEG said the new structure is designed to empower promoters to operate with strong individual brand identities, while benefiting from collective capability across Ticketek Group platforms and technology.
Under the model, promoters retain entrepreneurial control, supported by shared operational, commercial and technological resources that aim to make it easier to build, discover and attend live entertainment experiences.
According to TEG, the platform approach is intended to accelerate growth across both established and emerging genres, while backing the next generation of touring and live entertainment leaders.
Senior appointments signal genre-led expansion
As part of the launch, TEG Live confirmed a series of senior appointments to drive strategy and genre growth.
Vanessa “Van” Picken has been appointed Global Director, Music Strategy, bringing international experience to the role following her tenure as CEO of Sony Music Australia. She will lead global music strategy and advocacy across the platform.
Sam Sharma joins as Head of South Asia & Desi Touring, spearheading expansion into one of the world’s fastest-growing live music markets.
Alex Kelsey has been appointed Head of Country Touring, overseeing the commercial growth of country music touring across Australia and New Zealand, supported by Clay Doughty as Head of Strategy, Country Music, focused on long-term pipeline development and international partnerships.
Chris Watson has been promoted to Head of Electronic, Asia Pacific, reflecting TEG Live’s expanding footprint in electronic music.
Watson recently launched Palm Tree Festival Singapore, with further electronic announcements expected.
TEG Europe Managing Director Toby Leighton-Pope will continue to act as a key advisor to the group.
Country music and Nashville expansion
Country music has been identified as a core pillar of TEG Live’s growth strategy.
Building on momentum in Australia, TEG confirmed it will open a Nashville office in early 2026, establishing a base in the heart of the global country music industry.
The Nashville operation will focus on artist relationships, touring partnerships and long-term market development, strengthening connections between the US and Australian touring ecosystems.
Powering into 2026
Beyond country, TEG Live is planning further expansion across electronic, Asia-pop, and rock and metal, supported by its platform structure and specialist promoters operating across multiple territories.
McGregor said the shift reflects the changing nature of global touring.
“Live music is evolving quickly, and touring models need to evolve with it,” he said.
“TEG Live is investing in a platform built for collaboration and adaptability, supporting today’s promoters while setting up the next generation for success.”
TEG said further announcements are expected as the platform rolls out through 2026.
