Independent creative and media agency Thompson Spencer has appointed Sam Casey as head of performance.

The appointment comes amid sustained growth for the business, including new client wins such as Musashi’s launch into the Middle East, as well as expansion across its existing portfolio.

Casey’s past experiences

Casey joins from OMG, where he was group director of media implementation, leading a performance team across paid media channels.

His experience spans programmatic, paid social and search, with market exposure across New Zealand, Australia and global campaigns.

In addition to channel expertise, Casey brings governance, process and team development experience, with a focus on building high-performing teams.

Melanie Spencer, group CEO of Thompson Spencer, said the hire reflects the agency’s strategy to support growth with senior capability.
