After four years of growth in Perth, The Marketing Room has announced its national expansion along with the appointment of Terri Martin as its east coast general manager.

She will be responsible for the growth of the business on the East Coast.

Martin brings a wealth of marketing and business experience to the company, having worked in agencies and children’s television in Sydney and London.

She has run businesses in the market, communication and education sectors, and worked with include Unilever, Telstra, Qantas, Lendlease and the big 4 banks.

Martin has also run two not-for-profit organisations and has held a board position with ADHD Australia.

Tahnee Sharp, managing director, “We couldn’t be more excited to have someone of Terri’s stature join the team. We’ve always had the ambition to expand the business nationally but have been extremely conscious of having the right person, and Terri is it. We’ve had tremendous success with clients across every industry.”

“From law firms, mining service providers, insurance brokers, not-for-profits, property, automotive, retail and manufacturing. They all love the fact we work inside their business and provide a strategically focused professional who ‘gets things done’,” she added.

Martin said of her new role with The Marketing Room: “I just love the model. When I was introduced to Tahnee, I just knew this was a purpose driven business that I wanted to be a part of.

“What Tahnee and the team have achieved in such a short period of time is amazing and I know Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are going to love the model,” she added.

The Perth-based agency is a unique consultancy that provides businesses with in-house outsourced marketing resources.

They do this by placing senior marketing managers into businesses that need more senior marketing support but don’t want to pay a full time wage, allowing professional marketing parents to return to a senior marketing role on a part time basis.

So businesses get access to the talent and experience of their own in-house senior marketing manager, whilst the managers have the support and network of the entire TMR team. For these reasons, it has proven to be a big success in Perth.
