Teneo has appointed Ben Wilson as Head of Australia for its Strategy & Communications business, as the firm continues to scale its local advisory presence.
Based in Sydney, Wilson will work across Teneo’s global platform, providing senior counsel to boards and executives navigating complex and high-stakes situations.
Wilson brings extensive experience advising on sensitive corporate matters, with expertise spanning energy, technology, infrastructure, financial services, resources and real estate.
He joins from GRACosway, where he served as managing partner and led the firm’s transactions communications practice.
His work includes advising on major inbound M&A deals, transformational transactions and private equity carve-outs, including the largest take-private of an ASX-listed technology company.
Wilson began his career in broadcast journalism and later worked as a government ministerial advisor, an experience that underpins his ability to guide leaders through fast-moving and complex environments.
Strengthening the Australian platform
The appointment comes as Teneo continues to expand its presence in Australia, where it now employs more than 100 people nationwide.
The firm’s Strategy & Communications business operates alongside its Financial Advisory practice, led by Stephen Longley, which was established in 2025 following the acquisition of PwC’s Business Restructuring Services unit.
CEO comments
Lauren Chung, CEO Asia Pacific, Strategy & Communications at Teneo, said the appointment comes at a critical time for the business.
She noted Wilson’s experience across communications, media and politics will support clients facing increasingly complex reputational and strategic challenges.
Wilson said Teneo’s integrated model aligns with the needs of Australian businesses navigating interconnected pressures.
“I’m excited to grow the platform domestically, bring world-class capabilities and insights to Australian companies and support our global clients with the local counsel they need to navigate this market.”
