TBWA Sydney took home top honours as the creative agency of the year at the first-ever TikTok Ad Awards Australia, while Wavemaker clinched the title of Media Agency of the Year.

The awards recognised exceptional campaigns that effectively utilizsd TikTok’s platform for creativity, impact, and performance. Winning campaigns included Nike’s 1000 Victories and Hismile’s VIRAL Purple Serum, praised for their innovative approach in merging high-performance objectives with creative execution on TikTok.

TBWA Sydney was awarded for consistently going “above and beyond and is never shy about using the power TikTok has as a platform to craft innovative and award-winning campaigns that drive results for their clients.”

During the event, TikTok also unveiled its What’s Next 2024 Trend Report that examines key “on platform” trends for the year, emphasising the importance of creative bravery in driving impact and audience trust.
