2GB has maintained its market-leading radio share, despite losing 1.2 points. This has put the station in a more perilous position than usual as KIIS 1065 is breathing down its neck. Breakfast with Ben Fordham has been edged out by the thinnest of margins (0.1 point) after losing 2.1 points since survey six.  Mornings with Ray Hadley is still #1 in its timeslot despite being down 2.3 points, this also puts the show in a closer battle than normal with only 0.6 points separating 2GB from KIIS in the mornings. The only timeslot that is up for 2GB is the evenings where it has increased by 2.4 points.
In demographics, the station’s biggest rise was in 40-54, up 0.9 points, while the biggest drop off was in 55-64 where 2GB lost 2.9 points.

KIIS FM has had a late surge in the second-last radio rating survey of the year. The FM station is up a very strong 1.8 points, posting its best result in over six years, and now sits at only 0.3 points off of 2GB and the #1 ranking. Off the back of being named #1 on the Mediaweek Star Power 25 list, and being inducted into the ACRA Hall of Fame, Kyle and Jackie O are now also back to being the #1 game in town. The duo’s 14.9% market share was their best in over six years and also attracted 818,000 listeners, the highest number of listeners ever recorded for any radio show in history.
Will and Woody are now the #1 drive program in Sydney after increasing their share b 1.1 points to 10.6%. The station continues to dominate the younger demographic, finishing #1 in 10-17, 25-39, and also 40-54.

After its astronomical result in survey 6, smoothfm has come back to earth just a little bit. Overall, the stations market share decreased only 0.6 points as it slipped back down to be the #3 station in Sydney. Breakfast and weekends were both up slightly, as the station dipped in every other daypart. The station was also up in the 10-17, 18-24, and 55-64 demographics. 

WSFM 7.7% (7.0%)

WSFM remains at #4 as the station continues to hod off Nova. The positive gain of 0.7 points by WSFM reverses the negative trend in surveys five and six which saw the station lose 1.7 points.
Jonesy and Amanda have increased their breakfast share to 8.1%. WSFM was up in every daypart, and most demos with only 10-17 and 25-39 not seeing an increase.

Nova remains at #5 after increasing its share by 0.3 points and breaking the 7% barrier. Breakfast with Fitzy and Wippa was the #5 commercial breakfast show with a share of 7%. Drive with Kate, Tim, and Joel has remained steady and passed stablemate smoothfm to move back to the #2 ranking in the timeslot.

104.1 2Day FM 5.5% (4.6%)

2Day FM has had a strong survey 7 result, boosting its share by 0.9 points and moving past fellow SCA station Triple M to be the #6 station in Sydney. This is now 1.2 points across the last two surveys as well as a 75,000 increase in cumulative audience. The breakfast shift with Hughesy, Ed and Erin has increased by 0.5 points and now sits at 4.2%.

The station has remained steady at 4.5% market share and has passed Triple M to be #7 in Sydney.

Triple M has posted its lowest radio share in over six years with 4%, a decrease of 0.9 points. This has seen the station slip to #8 in Sydney. for the second survey in a row, the station also had no positive gains in its dayparts, with breakfast down 1.2 points to 3.7%.

Sky Sports Radio 1.4% (1.4%)

The station is steady at 1.4% as it remains within range of the 1.8% that it posted in survey four.

SEN 1170 0.7% (0.6%)

SEN 1170 has lifted 0.1 point, bringing the station to a 0.7% market share. Breakfast with Vossy and Brandy slipped 0.1 points, bringing the show to a total share of 0.4.
