2GB is still the radio ratings champion in Sydney despite losing share points in most demographics and dayparts in the survey. Breakfast with Ben Fordham is still the #1 show in town despite losing 3.2 points, finishing with a still pristine share of 15.7%. Mornings with Ray Hadley was the only daypart to increase its share for the station, improving by 0.7 points. Only one demographic increased its share as well with 10-17 up 3.1 points.

This is the 27th consecutive winning survey for Kyle and Jackie O as Sydney FM leaders, with the show increasing its share by 1.1 points. Will and Woody have slipped to the #2 slot, after missing out to WSFM in the daypart. The station continues to dominate the younger demographic, finishing #1 in 1017, 18-24, and 25-39.

smoothfm has been the biggest mover and shaker in survey three, moving up to be the #3 commercial station in Sydney after gaining 0.8 points, the largest rise in the survey. This follows off the station having its lowest share in over five years in survey 1. The station fell agonisingly short of KIIS for the top cume audience in the survey, off by 1,000. smoothfm breakfast was up 0.9 points while almost every daypart saw an increase in its share, claiming the #1 ranking for afternoons in the process.

WSFM 8.6% (8.4%)

WSFM has slipped down to be the #4 station in Sydney, despite increasing its share by 0.2 points. Jonesy and Amanda have slipped slightly (down 0.4 points) after their best result since mid-2018 in the last survey. Most dayparts remained steady with weekends up 1.0 points. WSFM also remained #1 in the 40-54 and 55-64 demographics.

Nova 96.9 7.1% (7.6%)

Nova has lost 0.5 points since Survey 2, but still has a sizeable cushion between itself and the two SCA stations below it in the rankings. Breakfast with Fitzy and Wippa continues to trend downwards losing 0.6 points. Drive with Kate, Tim, and Joel was up 0.3 points and finds itself in fourth position. The station continues to perform well in the younger demographics, being beaten out only by KISS.

Triple M has managed to hold on to its gain in survey 2 by remaining steady in survey 3. All dayparts remained reasonably steady across the board, with the biggest win coming in the breakfast slot with the fresh lineup of Mark Geyer with Jess and Pagey gaining 0.8 points. The station’s best demo was 40-54, where it increased its share by 1.0 points.

2Day FM continues to have a strong start to the year by gaining 0.2 points, giving itself its best result since the beginning of 2020. The cume has continued to lift as well after gaining 18,000. The critical breakfast shift with Hughesy, Ed and Erin had its best result since the start of 2021 with 4.3%.

The station has remained steady, with afternoons still its strong point with a share of 4.2% in the daypart.

Sky Sports Radio 1.9% (1.5%)

This is the station’s highest share in over six years as it has built on the success of survey 2. Its strengths remain weekends and the 65+ demographic.

Breakfast with Vossy and Brandy suffered a hard dip, down 0.4 points, which equated to two-thirds of its share in survey 2. Every daypart was except for the mornings which remained steady.
