Sydney-based consulting firm SKALE Australia has launched this week, offering luxury brands tailored strategies to grow in the Australian market. Founded by former Cartier executives Julie Kim and Sophie Seymaux, the women-led firm brings over 30 years of combined global experience to its market entry and expansion services.
Kim and Seymaux have worked across multiple aspects of the luxury value chain, including commercial strategy, marketing, communications, and distribution.
Their new consultancy aims to support international brands eyeing Australia and local players navigating the complexities of the domestic luxury landscape.
Addressing local challenges with global insight
“There are so many international luxury brands that Australians are craving, yet they do not yet have a presence in Australia,” said Seymaux, Co-Founder of SKALE. “In creating SKALE, we hope to bring overseas luxury brands to meet the demands of the modern Australian luxury consumer.”
Kim highlighted the operational pressures facing in-market brands. “We know the immense pressure that the major players in luxury are under between lean teams, a global direction, a regional office and a highly nuanced local landscape,” she said. “We want to support Maisons in-market by acting as an extension of their team.”
