Revium announced the appointment of Rebecca White as Queensland agency director following its expansion and the recent opening of an office in Brisbane.

White brings over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, business growth consulting and digital marketing to the full-service digital agency.

White spoke to Mediaweek about joining the digital agency, the importance of having a presence in Queensland, the industry issues on her mind and her outlook for Revium in the year ahead.

As Queensland agency director, White will bring a client-centric, data-driven approach to business solutions and work closely with various clients.

Joining the Revium team and working on their exciting projects

White joined in January and shared her admiration for the agency’s team and their drive.

“It’s so refreshing to work with a team dedicated to understanding customer experience – something I am passionate about – who use human-centred design thinking combined with business analysts who ensure the solution meets both the client wants, and the customer needs,” she said.

“We also have an awesome team of developers who make the impossible possible by intersecting with the best digital marketing minds in the business,” she added.

Revium is doing exciting work in disrupting digital transformation in Australia, which was part of what interested White in joining the digital agency.

“Some of the digital transformation projects Revium is working on have never been done before,” she said.

Among their clients is a global zero-party data platform (when a consumer proactively consents to their data being shared) that allows customers to pay for things with their personal data.

Another exciting project in the digital transformation space is HelpPay, a bill-sharing platform assisting those with financial burdens, for which Revium did work on CX research, design and building.

White also highlighted their work for a consumer-facing website under development for Kaboodle, “which is being built using headless CMS, a digital evolution in content management systems (CMS) allowing marketers to syndicate content not just to their website but to multiple channels like online stores, apps, social media pages, digital billboards, even wearable devices,” she said.

Revium taking Queensland

The recent launch of Revium’s Queensland office marks a time of exponential growth, White said.

The agency’s Queensland presence allows the agency to support existing clients in Brisbane and expand support for its enterprise clients with a national footprint.

White pointed out CommSec’s recent State of the States, which ranked Queensland as the best-performing state economy across the country.

“That is driven, in part, by Government investment in innovation and entrepreneurship, which has led to the development of several unicorns and buoyant overseas demand for energy resources,” she explained.

White noted that Queensland’s economy is well-suited to Revium’s talents.

“For nearly a decade, we have been providing bespoke digital solutions to companies in the energy sector, and the expertise in our development team has been used to assist fintech entrepreneurs to grow to Series A, and B raises,” she said.

White on the importance of knowing your numbers

White’s rich industry experience spans different agencies. For White, she shared that it has always been important to have defined success metrics.

“My mantra has always been “know your numbers”. This means that every marketing strategy, every digital campaign, and every transformation project should start with clearly defined success metrics. That’s the first step,” she explained.

White noted that the next step is to capture and analyse the data, which should be embedded in business operations and reported on a fortnightly or monthly basis.

“The last step here is using the data to inform a decision to tweak, pivot or confirm the campaign or strategy,” she noted.

White added that Revium adds another dimension to making data-driven decisions for clients.

“A real core value here is advocating for the customer, which ultimately leads to better results for our clients,” she said.

White on the year ahead for Revium

Looking at the year ahead, White said it would be a year of ongoing disruption in the digital space. One of the biggest issues is the impact of potential new digital privacy laws.

“I think we will continue to see businesses double down on the investment in their digital presence with a focus on the customer experience in digital as a key differentiator to gain market advantage,” she said.

White noted that as Revium Queensland agency director, her focus is on growth – recruiting more staff to better service their existing clients and take on new clients.

“I feel like we are really well placed to offer something new, different and exciting to clients in Queensland to help them navigate through the latest wave of digital and business challenges,” White added.
