Pritchard: “This wasn’t a decision I made lightly, but I need to step out of my comfort zone”

Punkee head of content Tahlia Pritchard has announced that she will be leaving the publication at the end of the year.

On Tuesday, Pritchard took to her LinkedIn to share her news. She wrote: “Some BIG news from me: I’m finishing up full-time at Punkee at the end of this year after 4.5 years.

“Everyone who knows me knows how much I adore Punkee and Junkee Media, and this wasn’t a decision I made lightly, but I need to step out of my comfort zone.

Pritchard continued: “The last few years have been such a chaotic and fun time and filled with so much growth. The things we accomplished at Punkee with such a small team will always blow my mind.

However, she kept mum on her next role, saying: “I’ll have more to say when I wrap up, no doubt, but in 2023 I will be looking for new adventures.”

Under Scout Publishing, Pritchard has been Punkee’s head of content since June and podcast host February, hosting reality TV podcast Reality Tea and delving in to the intrigue surrounding shows such as Married at First Sight, Big Brother and The Bachelor

Under her leadership, the publication saw impressive growth when it came to coverage of Australian reality TV and entertainment. in 2019, its video content saw 29 million views across the page.

Prior to taking the helm of Punkee, Pritchard had stints at 10 as a podcast co-host on The Reality Bite: Cocktails & Roses with Mat Whitehead. On the show, they would recap The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.

Pritchard was also a staff writer for BuzzFeed Australian brand, BuzzFeed Oz, producing content across pop culture, entertainment and digital.
