Pinterest has appointed Damian Kim as vice president, APAC enterprise sales.
Kim will join Pinterest at the end of February 2026 and report to Cécile van Steenberge, vice president, international enterprise sales.
The appointment comes as Pinterest continues to invest in international expansion, with strong momentum across markets outside North America.
Strengthening leadership in a high-growth region
More than 80% of Pinterest users are located outside North America, with APAC representing a major opportunity for the platform to deepen partnerships with advertisers and commerce leaders.
Pinterest recently reported growth of 16% in monthly active users and a 66% increase in revenue across its “rest of world” markets, underlining the importance of international regions to its future performance.
In his new role, Kim will lead Pinterest’s APAC enterprise organisation, with a focus on strengthening regional leadership, expanding strategic advertiser and partner relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for brands across the region.
Expanding advertiser and partner relationships
Kim’s remit includes growing relationships with major advertisers and partners such as Kao and Panasonic in Japan, and Kia and Flight Centre in Australia, as Pinterest looks to help brands connect with consumers earlier in their decision-making journeys.
“APAC is a critical region for Pinterest’s continued international growth, with diverse user communities and a sophisticated advertiser ecosystem,” said van Steenberge.
“Pinterest’s strengths in visual discovery and shopping align closely with how consumers across APAC plan, explore, and buy. Damian brings deep leadership experience and a strong track record of building high-performing teams, and I’m excited to partner with him as we continue expanding our impact for users, businesses, and brands across the region.”
Two decades of regional leadership experience
Kim brings more than 20 years of experience across digital, media and technology sales. Most recently, he served as managing director, head of product, APAC at Meta, where he focused on building products designed specifically for APAC markets.
His background also includes senior leadership roles across Meta in Singapore and Southeast Asia, as well as leading the Surface business and key OEM partnerships for Microsoft in Asia Pacific.
“APAC is one of the most exciting and diverse regions in the world—where culture, creativity, and commerce move incredibly fast,” Kim said.
“I’m thrilled to join Pinterest at a pivotal moment in its international growth journey. Pinterest is building a uniquely positive platform that brings inspiration and action together, and I’m excited to work with teams across APAC to leverage Pinterest to deliver advertising strategies.”
