The Brag Media has announced the appointment of Jessica Hunter, who joins the business as general manager of partnerships.

Hunter joins the company with deep experience in the Australian media landscape, having spent almost two decades leading partnerships and sales at Bauer Media, News Corp, Nine and Daily Mail Australia.

• Brady Halls will soon retire from his role as a reporter for A Current Affair after 35 years on the program. His final day is Friday 7th July. 

9 News Melbourne has promoted Serena Seyfort to Senior digital news producer. She joined the program in 2021 as a digital news producer. 

Netball Australia has appointed Annie Kearney as head of Corporate Affairs. She joins from the ABC, where she has been a journalist.

• Rebecca Thurlow has started as a content strategist for Reverb Media. She will oversee providing content strategy and delivery for the company’s clients across the financial services and corporate sectors. 

Seven West Media has welcomed Caleb Runciman as a crime reporter, reporting across PerthNow, The West Australian and The Sunday Times. He was previously a digital producer for the company. 

Blobfish International has announced the appointment of Casey Oxley in the newly created role of New Zealand sales director.

Oxley will be the sampling network’s first sales director in the New Zealand market, responsible for leading sales and growing the company’s Kiwi client base and partnerships as Blobfish continues to expand its New Zealand footprint.

• Caitlin Paroczai has left The West Australian and is now senior communications advisor – School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University. She was a business reporter and online producer at The West Australian

• Micaela Togher is now a producer with 10 News First Sydney. She joins from Seven in Wagga Wagga, where she was a broadcast journalist. 

Techday has welcomed Kaleah Salmon as a journalist, and she will be working on the publisher’s 28 tech news sites across Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Magic has announced two new senior appointments to its leadership team in charge of the agency’s global expansion in the US and UK.

Fotini Choutou joins the digital marketing and advertising agency in the newly created role of head of performance (Northern Hemisphere), and Jonathan Renteria steps into the newly created role of group account director, Magic LA, leading Magic’s Alchemy expansion in the US.

• Laura Roscioli is back freelancing after finishing up as a producer at Val Morgan Digital. She is interested in and available for editorial, copywriting and content production opportunities.

• Steve ‘Pricey’ Price has announced on-air that he will depart Triple M Townsville’s breakfast programme at the end of the year. Steve will be back in 2024 to work on some projects in the region. 

Australian Financial Review welcomes Zoe Samios, she will cover sports, gaming and the business of sport.

Salterbaxter Australia has announced two new roles in its expanding local team as demand grows for sustainability strategy and engagement services.

Stu Wragg, a founding member of the Salterbaxter Australia team, has been appointed to managing director, as Tess Ariotti has joins as lead consultant – advisory.

• Madeline Kerr is now a journalist and presenter at Southern Cross Austereo based in Hobart, Tasmania. 

4BC says goodbye to Neil Breen as the drive presenter on 23 June 2023. 

• Georgie Hewson will be joining ABC’s national digital team in two weeks and will be based in Brisbane. 

• Velvet-Belle Templeman has been promoted to group commercial editor of iTnews, CRN Australia and Digital Nation Australia.

InStyle Australia has welcomed Madison Campbell as a content manager.  

• Ruby Fenely has finished as the beauty and wellness editor at POPSUGAR Australia.

Outbrain Inc. has announced key promotions to scale global operations, drive innovation and expand Outbrain’s offerings for brands, advertisers, and publishers.

Ayal Steiner will oversee the development of innovative solutions for brands and agencies looking to drive measurable outcomes and deeper engagement with audiences.

His appointment follows Alexander Erlmeier’s promotion to chief revenue officer in October 2022, as well as Amrita de la Peña, ex-Twitter and Social Sprout exec, just last week to managing director APAC.

• Alana Young has finished up at POPSUGAR as a gaming oroducer. She is now an editor at We Are Social. 

Australian community media journalist Kate Stark has moved into the National Agricultural Features and Special Publications team.  

• Clay Hichens has said goodbye to ABC’s 7:30 after serving as supervising producer on the show for the past thirty years.

• Georgina Moore has finished as the breaking news reporter at the Australian Financial Review based in Canberra. 

The ABC in Mount Gambier has said goodbye to Bec Whetham, who has finished as a features reporter. 

• Matthew Karstunen joins 10 News First Queensland as a reporter after wrapping up duties as a producer for 7NEWS Sydney.

4BC weekends welcomes Brooke Seychell as a producer for the Saturday and Sunday programmes.

Ogilvy PR and Ogilvy Health have welcomed two new key creative appointments as the Ogilvy network continues to invest in dedicated creative expertise and leadership across its broad capability mix.

• Miriam Wells has been promoted to chief creative officer, Ogilvy PR, to drive creative output and innovative solution development for its outstanding client stable, effective immediately.

Joining Wells is Nina East, who starts in the newly created role of group creative director of Ogilvy Health.

• Justine Landis-Hanley is now a federal politics and public sector reporter at The Canberra Times, based in the Federal Press Gallery.
