Automotive giant Volkswagen has appointed L&A Social to manage organic social media for their Passenger Vehicles brand, following a four agency competitive pitch.

The social media strategy and management agency based in Sydney, has been working with Volkswagen for two years and was reappointed to handle end to end social media activity.

L&A Social’s role will include strategy, content development, photo and video shoots, campaign development, reporting and social listening. It will also continue to manage Volkswagen PV’s social pages across Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and TikTok for its Passenger Vehicle brand.

General Manager of marketing and product for the Volkswagen Passenger Vehicle brand, Ralph Beckmann said “As we continue to optimise our presence across social, L&A Social demonstrated best-in-class strategic thinking and bang for your buck creative solutions that will continue to lift our brand’s engagement with social audiences on all platforms. We have successfully worked with the team for a number of years now and look forward to elevating that relationship further.”

Gina Lednyak, founder and CEO at L&A Social added: “We are absolutely thrilled Volkswagen has once again appointed us to manage their social media strategy, content creation and implementation, against competition from other strong agencies. Their decision is a testament to  the brilliant teamwork between the Volkswagen PV and L&A team, the expertise of our team and the deep understanding of social trends we have.”

L&A Social added a string of new clients and projects to its roster in 2021, including Specsavers, Kennards Hire and True Alliance. They join other major local and global brands such as Woolworths, Unilever, Palmolive, Ampol, Hublot and Ocean Spray.

The agency, which was ranked third in the Best Places to Work Awards under 100 employees last August, has also made more than 10 appointments in recent months and created two new account service teams to manage the evolving social media and content requirements of its clients.
