International media strategist Jason Behan has launched Apocalypso, a media monetisation and distribution service aimed at helping producers navigate the global content market.
Apocalypso, launched in partnership with Like A Photon, will provide commercial strategy and distribution services for a range of content formats, including theatrical features, streaming series, short-form social content, and emerging platforms such as AVOD and FAST.
“Apocalypso is built for the realities of modern media. Today, it’s not just about getting your project seen – it’s about making sure it gets paid,” Behan said of his venture.
“We’re here to help producers reframe, refine, and monetise their content with clarity, experience, and the leverage to secure better deals.”
The company’s first title is Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Man, for which Apocalypso is handling theatrical and home entertainment distribution.
The film will have its world premiere at MIFF 2025, followed by a screening at CinefestOZ in Western Australia. Additional Sydney screenings and a wider national release are planned for later in the year.
Behan has more than 20 years of experience in acquisition, distribution, and strategic partnerships, having held senior roles at Universal Pictures Australia, Beyond, and most recently Totem Network.
His work spans multiple genres and formats across global markets.
