Host/Havas welcomes new hires to its creative and design department

• The welcomed additions come after a period of growth and a string of significant creative wins

Host/Havas has announced the addition of several new hires to its creative and design department, following a period of growth and a string of significant creative wins.

Senior creatives Anastasia Simone and Jay Lee join from Leo Burnett Hong Kong, bringing with them not just an awarded history on iconic global brands, but a world-class gaming development and digital-focused skillset, with Simone recently sitting on the gaming jury at D&AD.

Simone and Lee said: “We’re excited to hit the ground running in Australia with a team that’s gunning to make a difference. We’re not asking ourselves how to make brands matter, but what a brand can do that matters.

“It’s a meaningful challenge, less about what ad industry awards we can win, and more about the impact we can have on culture.”

Ash Myburgh, formerly of Ogilvy and It’s Friday, joins as a senior creative. Her recent Secret Menu work for KFC picked up at Cannes, D&AD, Clios, AdFest, Effies and AdStars.

Josh Bell, a graduate of D&AD Shift 2022, joins as a junior creative and content creator across the Havas Creative Group.

Senior designers Kristin Burnshaw and Daniel Conway join Host/Havas’ design department, working into department head Nic Adamovich, whose work on Palau Pledge was awarded the D&AD Black Pencil of the Decade for Design.

Jon Austin, Host/Havas ECD, said: “How can you possibly get a snappy soundbite that covers such a huge and diverse influx of talent?

“From the gaming skills that Jay and Ana bring to help us double down on our Entertainment beats Interruption philosophy, to Ash’s unstoppable blend of creative and professional wrestler energy, to Josh who managed to sum up our entire creative approach using Stevie Wonder lyrics, to Kris and Daniel, who are already delivering such incredible and breathtaking design work for our newest partners at Tourism Fiji.

“I couldn’t be more stoked about the caliber of talent that HoHa is getting through the doors, Yeesh. That’s a pretty long soundbite, and it still doesn’t do justice to how excited I am about what comes next,” Austin added.

Last month, Host/Havas CX appointed digital and customer experience leader Charles Rallings to the newly created role of managing director of Host/Havas CX.
