HERO launches Toyota bZ4X with a little help from The Beatles

Toyota bZ4X

Toyota Australia and independent agency HERO launch the new all-electric bZ4X range with a Beatles track.

Toyota Australia teams up with independent agency HERO to launch its new all-electric bZ4X and the all-new bZ4X Touring models.

Because nothing conveys a frantic parent dash quite like a classic tune, the fully integrated campaign features a reimagined Beatles track.

The multichannel campaign rolls out across digital, television, broadcast video on demand, out-of-home, social media, and dealerships.

Directed by Joel Kefali from Good Oil, the hero film follows two parents on a chaotic cross-country mission to pull together a children’s party at the final hour. The narrative flexes the reliability, versatility, and tech capabilities of the new bZ4X range along the way.

Rumble Studios sets the scene for the madness with a poppy recomposition of The Beatles track Birthday.

Electric vehicles for unpredictable moments

Vin Naidoo, chief marketing officer at Toyota Australia, says the new all-electric bZ4X range brings together everything Australians love about the brand. Quality, durability, and reliability sit at the core of the fully electric bZ4X and the bZ4X Touring.

“In an ever-changing EV landscape, with more and more entrants into the market, an electric vehicle designed to suit every family and lifestyle is more important than ever, especially for life’s more unpredictable moments,” Naidoo adds.

Building on award-winning momentum

Andrew Woodhead, national creative director at HERO, notes that the team jumped at the chance to highlight the unique tone of voice and sense of humour belonging to the beloved Australian brand. Woodhead says HERO eagerly brought the campaign to life alongside Good Oil, The Editors, and Rumble Studios.

The bZ4X launch arrives on the heels of a successful awards run for both Toyota and HERO. Their recent C-HR Diamond Collection campaign picked up a Grand Prix, Gold, and a Bronze at the World Independent Advertising Awards, along with a Bronze at Spikes Asia.
