Hahn has announced a new partnership with Ripper GC, becoming an official sponsor of the all-Australian LIV Golf team as it heads into a major year on tour.
The deal sees Hahn align with one of golf’s most high-profile teams, led by Cameron Smith alongside fellow Australians Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert and rising star Elvis Smylie.
A natural fit on and off the course
Hahn said the partnership reflects a shared mindset between the brand and the team, blending performance on the course with camaraderie off it.
“The Hahn and Ripper GC partnership just makes sense,” said Alex Honson, brand partnership leader at Lion.
“They’re a team that competes hard out on the course, but also know the simple enjoyment of a post-round beer with mates. They play hard, live loud and back each other, and that balance of performance and enjoyment is exactly what Hahn stands for.”
Hahn is best known for its full-flavoured beer with a more mindful profile, positioning the brand around balance without compromising on taste or quality.
Activations roll out across Adelaide
The sponsorship will come to life in Adelaide, where Hahn will activate across a number of designated Ripper GC clubhouse venues during LIV Golf week.
Fans will have the chance to win one of 500 Ripper Supporter Packs, including a Hahn x Ripper GC cap complete with a blonde mullet attachment.
“The mullet caps perfectly encapsulate this team and this partnership,” Honson said. “They allow fans to get behind their team and have a bit of fun in the process.”
Participating venues will also give fans opportunities to follow the action live, including watching the team’s final-day push from dedicated viewing locations such as Ripper Point.
Shared values drive the partnership
Ripper GC said the partnership reflects alignment beyond branding, pointing to shared values of trust, chemistry and doing things differently.
“This team is built on trust, chemistry and doing things our own way,” said Nick Adams, general manager of Ripper GC.
“Hahn gets that. It’s about big moments, shared experiences and enjoying a beer that goes the distance.”
Team captain Smith said the partnership felt authentic from the outset.
“We’re Aussies at heart… we compete hard on the weekend but we’re also good mates off the course,” Smith said.
“Hahn fits perfectly into that rhythm. It’s a great beer to enjoy with your mates after a day out on the course, and we’re stoked to have them backing us.”
