GroupM appoints Tom Braybrook as managing director to lead data and tech consulting

GroupM has welcomed the appointment of Tom Braybrook as managing director, he will spearhead the launch of data and technology consulting business Acceleration in Australia.

The move will expand the data and technology capabilities at Mindshare, Wavemaker and EssenceMediacom.

Acceleration is WPP’s centre of excellence for global data and technology consulting, operated globally by GroupM, and brings together expert consultancy services and a depth of specialised skills in Google Marketing and Cloud Platforms technology to deliver sustainable growth for forward-thinking marketers.

As managing director of Acceleration for Australia and New Zealand, Braybrook will lead the launch of the consulting practice and work with agencies Mindshare, Wavemaker and EssenceMediacom to help clients connect data and technology, media performance and digital transformation to business results.

Braybrook has 15 years of experience at the forefront of media, marketing technology and digital consulting. Most recently, he was head of growth at MediaMonks, and before that was head of agencies and partners for Google New Zealand. He has also held senior roles leading product, strategy and solutions at Adobe, and tech and analytics roles within Omnicom.

Braybrook joins GroupM in January 2023 and will join the GroupM executive committee in Australia.
Acceleration will bring expanded access to combined capabilities in Strategy and Transformation, Data Science and Automation, Measurement, Advanced Analytics, as well as Marketing Technology Sales and Adoption.
