Good Food & Wine Show and BBC Studios launch Bake Off precinct

The Great Australian Bake Off Precinct will operate as a premium, multi-zone destination designed to immerse audiences.

The Good Food & Wine Show has announced a multi-year partnership with BBC Studios to launch a world-first immersive The Great Australian Bake Off experience.

The Great Australian Bake Off Precinct will debut at the 2026 Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Editions in Sydney and Melbourne.

The partnership marks a major evolution for the Good Food & Wine Show, bringing one of the world’s most loved food entertainment formats into a live consumer experience.

A Bake Off precinct

At the heart of the Christmas Editions, The Great Australian Bake Off Precinct will operate as a premium, multi-zone destination designed to immerse audiences in the creativity, craft and joy of baking.

The precinct will include a GABO Live Stage with masterclasses and demonstrations from Bake Off talent and Good Food & Wine personalities, an Interactive Kids Zone, a GABO Café, a Bake Challenge Arena, Bakers Village and official merchandise and licensed products.

Good Food & Wine Show on the partnership

Samantha Potts, Show Manager at Good Food & Wine Show, said the collaboration will become the centrepiece of the Christmas Editions.

“This collaboration represents a major step forward for the Good Food & Wine Show, allowing us to deliver a truly immersive, world-first experience that elevates the event for consumers, sponsors and exhibitors.”

Potts said the partnership also creates a strong commercial platform during the festive period.

“By anchoring our Christmas Editions around such a powerful and much-loved brand, we are creating a compelling new platform for partners to connect with highly engaged audiences during the most important trading period of the year.”

BBC Studios on the launch

The announcement builds on the continued growth of The Great Australian Bake Off, which will return to BINGE and Foxtel for Season 9 in 2026.

The show recently won the 2026 AACTA Award for Best Reality Program and the SPA Award for Reality Series Production of the Year.

Kylie Washington, EVP and Creative Director, Global Productions at BBC Studios ANZ, said the partnership marks a new chapter for the format.

“This innovative concept is a world first for the brand – transforming Bake Off into a fully immersive, live experience that allows audiences to engage with it in an entirely new way.

“In partnering with the Good Food & Wine Show, we have found the ideal platform to deliver this at scale and create a premium destination for fans, brands and partners alike.”

Tickets for the Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Editions will go on sale in August, with further announcements to come on featured talent, programming and exclusive experiences.
