Foxtel Media has announced a new partnership with Brown Brothers, one of Australia’s first families of wine, to create a one-hour documentary special titled Next In Wine: Survival & Succession.

Along with Dundas Media, Foxtel Media has created the documentary to celebrate and promote the legacy of the Brown Brothers.

Pioneering new winemaking methods since 1889, the Brown Brothers documentary follows the females of the Brown family on their journey of bringing cutting-edge innovation to vintage wine.

The wine label is led by the family’s fourth generation of women who are dedicated to changing the wine game.

Wendy Moore, group general manager of the LifeStyle Channels said, “This is an inspiring story of strong women who are taking risks to build a new future for their family company. This is an industry they have loved their whole lives, and their passion and authenticity are infectious.”

The documentary will concentrate on the launch of a new wine, Tarrango, a light-bodied red made from Tarrango grapes.

Viewers will have front row seats to the challenge the fourth generation are facing; upholding the family legacy while injecting a modern, accessible drinking experience to the Australian wine market. As the documentary unfolds, viewers will see if their ambitious plans for this new type of chilled red wine will bear fruit.

The documentary special will air on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channel and via Binge at 7.30pm on Friday 30th September and on Fox Doco’s at 7.30pm on Tuesday 4th October.

Daniella Serhan, entertainment sales and partnerships director at Foxtel Media, said, “Brown Brothers is a brand that embodies our Australian understanding of family, celebration and innovation. Foxtel Media is honoured to partner with them and showcase the latest chapter of this long family legacy. We’re confident that this story of new development, continuity and working together will resonate strongly with Australian households.”

With sprawling vista scenes across Mystic Park vineyard and Milawa in Victoria, the documentary will show the whole Brown Brothers family in action, led by Katherine Brown, the first female winemaker in the family, and their trusted employees.

Brown Brothers is also a partner for the first season of Selling in the City, as part of the celebrations when a successful sale completes for the happy homeowners.

Emma Brown, group marketing manager at Brown Brothers, said, “We’re very excited to be partnering with Foxtel Media and share a behind-the-scenes look into Brown Brothers. We’re proudly female-led and legacy-driven and Foxtel Media understood our brand purpose from the start.

“We look forward to seeing how audiences respond to the deeply personal story of our family business.”
