Ex-Mars United leaders launch eFlare Commerce

They’ve already signed 25 brands within six months of launching.

Former Mars United Commerce executive Stephanie Chirkoff has launched eFlare Commerce, an independent agency positioning itself as “The Future Commerce Agency.” The Sydney-based business helps brands bridge retail, content, and technology to convert visibility into sales.

Founded in mid-2025, eFlare Commerce has already secured 25 clients across FMCG, consumer goods, and home appliances, including George Weston Foods, Fonterra, Newell Brands, and Openway Food. Its early growth underscores surging demand for integrated commerce expertise beyond traditional e-commerce or media buying.

“We built eFlare Commerce to help brands prepare for what’s next,” said Chirkoff, Managing Director and Founder. “Retail media, social commerce, and AI search are converging fast. Our goal is to give brands a retail-centric approach that turns visibility into conversion, across every retailer and platform.”

Expanding leadership with Mars United alumni

Joining Chirkoff is David Simes, also formerly of Mars United Commerce, as Head of Content and Social Commerce. Simes previously led content development across retail and brand campaigns and has produced viral social content for comedian Jimmy Rees OAM.

“I’m excited to join eFlare Commerce, to help shape what’s next for commerce,” Simes said. “I’ve seen how powerful retail and content can be when they work together. eFlare Commerce is about connecting those worlds across social and eCommerce.”

Clients back eFlare’s connected commerce model

Angela Craven, Head of Category & Shopper Marketing at Tip Top (George Weston Foods), described working with the agency as “a breath of fresh air,” noting that the team’s expertise in algorithms and digital strategy is translating into tangible growth. “Thanks to this partnership, we’re seeing increases in both market share and online sales,” she said.

That impact is echoed by Kate Ireland, Head of Shopper & Digital at Fonterra, who credited eFlare with transforming the brand’s retail search approach and driving significant eCommerce growth. “Steph’s expertise and deep industry knowledge is invaluable,” she added.

For Brendan Kelly, National Business Manager eCommerce at Newell Brands, the agency’s success comes down to insight and execution. “What stands out about working with eFlare Commerce is their depth of understanding across the retail landscape,” he said.

“Their local insight and hands-on approach have been instrumental in helping us deliver strong results.”
