Enero Group has today announced the sale of two of its business consultancies, The Leading Edge (TLE) and The Digital Edge (TDE), after acquiring both businesses in 2004.

The group sold both TDE and TLE to independent market research company FiftyFive5 to further align the Group’s portfolio of complementary brands and services across the globe.

Brent Scrimshaw, Enero Group CEO, said: “The sale of both TLE and TDE demonstrates our ongoing commitment to executing against our progressive portfolio growth strategy.

“We will continue to invest in the capabilities of our core brands and remain relentlessly focused on cross-geographical growth and refining our portfolio of global brands and services.

“On behalf of the whole Enero team, I would like to wish the passionate team at TLE, TDE, and FiftyFive5 all the best in their new adventure,” he added.

The announcement follows Enero’s recent half year financial results which saw the business build momentum with revenue growth of 15.1% and Operating EBITDA growth of 23.3% to $29.9 million.

Enero – a global portfolio of marketing and communications specialist agencies – is made up of leading agencies including BMF, Orchard, Hotwire, CPR, and OBMedia.

Last year, Enero Group announced the appointment of Heather Kernahan as global chief executive officer of Hotwire, the Group’s global technology communications consultancy.

The appointment will see Kernahan report to Brent Scrimshaw, Enero Group CEO, effective 1 July 2021.

Commenting on her appointment, Kernahan said: “There is no more exciting industry to be in than technology and I’m thrilled to lead the Hotwire team as we continue to grow. We have ambitious plans to bring more value to our fast growth and global tech clients, who are looking for an alternative to the big multinational agencies. Barbara has led a culture, team and business that is sought after by the largest tech companies in the world and I’m honoured to now lead this organisation. With 20 years behind us, we feel that we’re just getting started.”
