Network 10 weekend news presenter Chris Bath will leave the broadcaster as part of a broader restructure of its news output and staffing.
The decision comes as Ten prepares to reduce its 10 News+ program to a 30-minute format in 2025, after the bulletin has struggled to build an audience since launching earlier this year.
Contract not renewed
Bath, who joined Ten in 2017, currently fronts a 90-minute national Saturday bulletin, a separate 90-minute Perth bulletin, and a one-hour Sunday bulletin. The network has decided not to renew her contract.
She will be replaced by presenter Georgie Tunny, who joined Ten in 2022 via The Project. Tunny, 34, is understood to be part of the network’s move to appeal to younger viewers as linear broadcast audiences continue to shift.
Bath will continue her role hosting ABC Sydney’s weekday drive program.

Company resets news strategy
Bath’s departure follows changes earlier this year that saw The Project hosts Waleed Aly, Sarah Harris, Steve Price and Hamish Macdonald exit the program. Ten has also confirmed that 10 News+ will move to a half-hour format in 2025.
Global layoffs at parent company
The changes at Ten come as parent company Paramount Skydance begins cutting approximately 10 per cent of its global workforce after its merger.
In a memo reported by CNN, CEO David Ellison said the reductions “are necessary to position Paramount for long-term success,” adding, “In some areas, we are addressing redundancies that have emerged across the organisation.”
