Brad March’s independent talent management company, Marchmedia, has announced that podcaster Toni Lodge has joined its roster.
She recently teamed up with broadcaster Ryan Jon for the Toni & Ryan podcast via a deal with ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia.
Both have had ties to KIIS 1011 in Melbourne with Ryan being the Mornings presenter and Lodge previously working as the imaging producer on the Jase & PJ Breakfast show before becoming the execution producer of the She’s On The Money suite of podcasts, where Jon also works.
The show’s promise to listeners is: “Toni and Ryan are ‘just friends’ from Melbourne, and after their videos took off online, they figured they’d give this a crack! For their take on everything in life from the good, the bad, and the awkward, they bring their fun garbage to a podcast near you.”
The podcast has already achieved more than 300,000 downloads since it launched in mid-August following a number of viral videos the pair posted to Instagram and TikTok.
Toni & Ryan has hit Top five on Spotify and Top 10 on Apple Comedy, ahead of radio heavyweights including Kyle & Jackie O, Fitzy & Wippa, Hamish & Andy and Matt & Alex.
With over 65,000 followers on Instagram and 190,000 followers on TikTok, coupled with Jon’s 800,000 social media followers, there’s no predicting how far this podcast will travel.
March said it’s no great surprise that the Toni & Ryan podcast has done so well, so quickly.
“Ryan and Toni are great together, she has really struck a chord with listeners,” March said. “She is unique and that’s refreshing. Toni clearly has a brilliant career in audio ahead of her.”
