• The agencies have developed a strong relationship over the past three years

Blue Sky Media, led by media industry veteran Tim Monro, has been acquired by burgeoning independent agency Love Media.

The agencies have developed a strong relationship over the past three years, and the timing of Love Media’s growth has coincided perfectly with Monro looking toward the future and his exit strategy to retirement.

Ant Douglas, managing partner of Love Media, said: “Acquiring one of the original independent agencies is a significant moment for our business and a responsibility that we do not take lightly.

“Over the last 23 years, Tim has built a great business with a strong reputation for providing support to new and up-and-coming independent agencies, which is an area that we want to really focus on.

“We are committed to strengthening the current service offering to ensure that all the agencies we work with, not only receive the support and guidance that “Munnerz” has become famous for, but also access to the assistance and tools they need to grow,” he said.

“Tim will be with us for some time yet in the role of agency services director and we welcome any enquiries from agencies looking for this type of help,” Douglas added.

Monro said of the Blue Sky Media merger with Love Media: “I’m really excited about the “marriage” of our two businesses. Love Media have an incredible team of experienced and enthusiastic people with a “fire in the belly” mentality and vigour that is totally infectious.

“It is the shot of adrenalin that Blue Sky needed in today’s complex and challenging environment – the merging of Love’s capability with Blue Sky’s experience makes for a winning formula.

Monro added: “I’m very much looking forward to the improved offering we will have for the clients and agencies we support, and as they say after having a great surf – how good!!”
