Blobfish International has announced the appointment of Jake Kerr as campaign co-ordinator.

In the role, he will be supporting the Blobfish International team on campaign delivery, client service and helping to grow the business via social media and new partner onboarding.

Kerr will report to senior team members Rose Rye and Rebecca Page.

Kerr joins the activation and sampling network from Red Bull, where he worked as a student marketer, partnering with university clubs and societies to enhance their events.

Kerr played a critical role in large-scale events, including the Australian Formula One Grand Prix, the Wings for Life Charity World Run, Melbourne’s Red Bull Unlocked and the Red Bull Basement student sessions.

Nic Cann, Blobfish International CEO , said: “We’re thrilled to have Jake joining our team. Jake has demonstrated a passion and enthusiasm for on-the-ground events and activations, and I am certain he will be a welcome addition to the Blobfish business.

“We’re excited to bring fresh talent, like Jake, into the industry, and develop up-and-coming marketers.”

Kerr’s appointment is effective from January 16. He said of his new role: “I love being able to have an impact on a brand, and this role with Blobfish will allow me to be deeply involved with brands in a tangible way.

“I’m really looking forward to learning from the Blobfish team and helping to deliver for our clients.”

Kerr’s hire comes on the back of Blobfish’s expansion into the UK market, significant growth within its Australian team, and partnerships with major clients including R U OK?, Woolworths and Roadshow Films.

Last year, Blobfish International partnered with Roadshow Films and its agency OMD to develop a movie industry first campaign for the new The Batman movie.

In conjunction with Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Menulog, and Door Dash, drivers will deliver food orders to consumers in The Batman branded delivery bags with a QR code they can scan to buy or rent the movie to watch while they enjoy their meals at home.
