The agency will manage media activity to drive occupancy and promote its services.

Awaken has won the media account for aged care services provider Opal HealthCare.

The independent media agency will manage media activity for the organisation to drive occupancy and promote its residential and respite aged care services.

Opal HealthCare manages 100 residential aged care communities across metro and regional areas in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.

It offers a range of accommodation options, including supportive respite care and private/companion rooms for longer-term residents. Its ethos is founded on providing high-quality care for older people, with dignity, purpose and belonging at its heart.

An Opal HealthCare spokesperson said it wanted to work with an agency that embraced its focus on the concept of ‘Ageing is Living’ and was impressed with the agency’s understanding of our overall strategy and their ability to lean into the core values of our brand: compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.

Chris Parker, Awaken founder and CEO, called the partnership with Opal HealthCare an “opportunity to help support families and deepen their respect for aging loved ones.”

“Ageing is a concept all of us can relate to and knowing there is a people-led community available will bring comfort to many. We look forward to telling that story,” Parker added.

Awaken has also welcomed several new clients this year, including The Kids’ Cancer Project and Chery Motors Australia.

The independent agency also acquired digital marketing agency Agnes Media, securing its foothold in the UK and US markets.
