Man of Many taps Rob Stott as editor-in-chief

Australian men’s lifestyle publisher, Man of Many, has appointed Rob Stott as its new editor-in-chief.

Based in Sydney, Stott will be responsible for evolving Man of Many’s editorial voice and leading a major push into original video and audio content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, podcast platforms, and emerging channels.

Expanding beyond digital publishing

The appointment signals a shift in Man of Many’s strategy, with the brand looking to meet growing demand for high-production visual storytelling and immersive audio content.

Under Stott’s leadership, the publication aims to transition from a digital-first masthead into a broader multimedia operation.

Man of Many has been Australia’s premier men’s lifestyle brand for over a decade now, and I’m thrilled to be joining,” Stott said.

“I’m incredibly excited to be working with the team to execute on their vision to expand Man of Many’s footprint across platforms, helping Aussie men to live their best lives every day, wherever they are.”

A focus on video, audio and new formats

The expansion will see Man of Many increase its investment in original video series, social-first content and podcasting, as audiences continue to shift toward platform-native consumption.

The move is also designed to create new opportunities for commercial partners seeking deeper, more integrated engagement with audiences.

“I’m very fortunate to be taking the reins at such a well-established brand, with a well-deserved reputation for creating highly relevant, culturally connected premium content for Australian men,” Stott said.

“There are huge opportunities for growth in this space.”

Editorial leadership experience

Stott brings nearly 20 years of experience across journalism, content strategy and digital leadership.

His career includes senior roles at the Australian Financial Review, Apple and BuzzFeed, as well as several years at Junkee Media, where he served as managing editor and editorial director.

At Junkee, Stott oversaw the launch of Gen Z-focused title Punkee and helped expand the publisher’s multi-platform and custom publishing operations.

Founders back the next phase of growth

Man of Many co-founders Scott Purcell and Frank Arthur said the appointment is central to the brand’s 2026 growth plans.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Rob at a defining moment for Man of Many,” the pair said in a joint statement.

“We’re building a truly multi-platform brand, expanding from world-class editorial into podcasts, exclusive memberships, and a growing slate of live experiences. Rob brings the strategic clarity and creative leadership to connect these channels into a cohesive ecosystem.”

Stott replaces outgoing editor in chief Nick Hall, who departed at the end of 2025 after six years with the business.

“So this week, I say goodbye to the Man of Many team. It has been a genuine joy to work alongside such talented journalists, content producers, client managers and salespeople (yep, even salespeople),” Hall said via LinkedIn post
