Pedro Demartini: ‘Their energy, strategic clarity, and FMCG experience made them the ideal fit to help scale Wicked Sister.’

Wicked Sister has appointed Slingshot as its media agency for strategy, planning and buying across all channels in Australia.

The appointment covers the brand’s core activity and upcoming partnership campaigns.

The independent agency will oversee driving a step-change in growth and making Wicked Sister part of the cultural conversation.

Wicked Sister, founded in 2009 by Paul Polly, produces a range of desserts including rice pudding, crème caramel, panna cotta, high-protein puddings, mousses and tiramisu.

“Wicked Sister is the kind of brand we love, category defining, hungry for growth, and ready to do things differently. They’ve already nailed the product,” Slingshot CEO Simon Rutherford said.

“Now it’s time to inject that same level of disruption into their media. We’re thrilled to help unlock their next chapter.”

Pedro Demartini, marketing director at Wicked Sister, added: “We were looking for a media partner that could match our appetite for bold thinking and smart execution, and Slingshot delivered.

“Their energy, strategic clarity, and FMCG experience made them the ideal fit to help scale Wicked Sister.”

The first work is expected to hit the market in the coming 12 months, with a focus on building momentum behind brand led campaigns and partnerships that connect Wicked Sister’s premium products with consumers’ evolving tastes and values.

Earlier this year, Slingshot was appointed to manage media for Novo Nordisk and Dry July Foundation.

Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharmaceutical giant behind obesity drug, Wegovy, engaged with the agency to develop and manage its first consumer campaign in Australia.

The Dry July Foundation, the not-for-profit charity behind the annual Dry July campaign, tapped the agency with providing a comprehensive suite of media services, including media strategy, planning, buying, digital, social, SEO across Australia.
