Urban List has announced their expansion into Asia with Singapore as the first destination launching on the platform.

The new venture is a collaboration between Urban List and the Singapore Tourism Board that has been three years in the making.

Urban List Singapore will be a comprehensive source of editorial, social and video content curated in celebration of the country’s vibrant culinary culture, nightlife and style scene.

Susannah George, founder and CEO, said she is proud to see the brand expanding the publication into new markets and building on the existing portfolio of 12 destinations across Australia and New Zealand.

“Singapore has always been top of our list for expansion — a place that epitomises our love for great food, fun, design and adventure.

“Seeing Urban List move into such a vibrant and innovative market (and a place I love) is a dream way to celebrate our 10th anniversary year, and I’m so proud to see our voice influencing buying, booking and eating behaviours internationally,” she said.

Head of studio, Elise Cullen led the partnership journey, navigating the complex challenges of the publication’s international expansion amid the COVID landscape.

She said: “It’s an honour to have the chance to curate and contribute to such a dynamic social scene — millions are going to see Singapore through a fresh, new lens; a spotlight it truly deserves.

“I’m also curious to see what clues user data may offer when it comes to how Australians are really viewing international travel now. Personally, I just can’t wait to get back over there!” she added.

The launch of Urban List Singapore is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, and the area director for Oceania, Stephanie Yong, is thrilled with the opportunity to connect more Aussies and Kiwis with all Singapore has to offer.

“We are delighted to be working with Urban List, which is known for their fun way of introducing content to their audiences,” she said.

“Singapore is constantly innovating, which means new and exciting experiences are surfacing all the time and many who think they know Singapore would be surprised. Urban List is a perfect partner to showcase these in the most engaging way to the Oceania market, and we can’t wait to see how the Singapore stories come to life in their hands,” she added.
