Nine

In its first Sunday night broadcast of the year, Lego Masters was #1 in all key demographics with 715,000 viewers tuning in as Amy and Dawei‘s time on the show came to an end after their technical skills let them down in the Space X challenge.

This was followed by 60 Minutes with 432,000.

Earlier in the day the NRL’s traditional Anzac Day clash between the Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra Dragons had 289,000 tune in as the Roosters came away with a comfortable win despite losing star fullback James Tedesco to concussion protocol’s.

Seven

Seven turned around the rough run that it has had on Sunday nights with a primary share of 22.7% and a network share of 31.2% which was good for the  #1 spots.

The stand out for Seven was Dancing with the Stars: All Stars which was the top non-news program of the night with 802,000 and had 827,000 watching as TV personality Luke Jacobz took home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

The six grand finalists – Luke Jacobz, Bec Hewitt, Kyly Clarke, Lincoln Lewis, Ada Nicodemou and Manu Feildel – left nothing on the dancefloor as they twirled, stomped and waltzed their hearts out to capture the ultimate prize.

With all couples performing a freestyle dance, it was Luke and Bec battling it out for the win after they both collected a perfect score.

The winner of series eight in 2008 and now the Dancing With The Stars: All Stars champion, Jacobz said: “To win is honestly the greatest achievement of my life. To experience it with Jorja, who is by far the most creative and talented person I know, is like a dream.”

Earlier in the day Seven’s coverage of the AFL’s Anzac Day match between Collingwood and Essendon had a bumper crowd of 668,000, as the Bombers took home the Anzac biscuits over the Magpies.

MasterChef had 527,000 viewers as it aired its first Sunday night program of the year and brought out the big guns in Nigella Lawson.

Lawson joined the contestants live from London and the elimination challenge took place across two rounds. Lawson’s elaborate way with words led to the elimination of the show’s youngest contestant, Yo Yo Yang.

The Sunday Project had 233,000 (6:30 pm) and 328,000 (7 pm) tune in as the show discussed Anzac Day, Perth’s quarantine outbreak, Australian’s using the NZ travel bubble as a backdoor to other countries.

ABC

Spicks and Specks had a sizeable drop off in its second week of release with last night’s 444,000 down on its big return audience of 655,000.

Spicks and Specks was followed by Wakefield with 193,000 viewers. All episodes of the show have already been put on ABC iView.
