Ross Crowley promoted at Foxtel as executives shuffled ahead of content overhaul

New or expanded roles for Tony Pollitt, Sam Hall, Duane Hatherly and Hannah Barnes

Foxtel has announced some new appointments and reassigning of responsibilities at Foxtel Networks.

Foxtel Networks director of programming and channels Ross Crowley (pictured) has been promoted to a new role in content strategy, rights and negotiations and will be joined by Tony Pollitt as part of a team who will manage major studio negotiations. They will team with the company’s executive director of content partnerships, Ben Buckley, and newly appointed head of rights and negotiations, Sam Hall. Fleur Fahey will continue in her role as general manager of acquisitions for Foxtel Networks.

Crowley, who now assumes the title director of content strategy and programming, will continue to report to Foxtel executive director of television Brian Walsh.

In his new appointment as general manager business affairs – content and networks, Pollitt will work together with Crowley to oversee drama and key commercial negotiations for Foxtel Networks.

As Foxtel embarks on a major content investment strategy, Foxtel Networks director of production Duane Hatherly will continue to lead this department charged with a heightened focus to develop new shows and formats

While Hatherly has previously held the dual roles of director of production and head of LifeStyle Channels, now general manager LifeStyle Channels Hannah Barnes will assume the management responsibilities for this group of channels.

These changes will all take effect from July 1, 2015.
